Backstory: HDR Photography is incredibly dynamic (as the name suggests) as well as downright sexy. The idea is that the camera takes an identical photograph in 3+ exposures (usually one dramatically lighter, one dramatically darker, in addition to the original) and merges the 3 exposures to benefit from all of the shadows and highlights. Merging the exposures definitely takes some work in the post-production process. I have not yet found an easy way to do such a task.

I was applying for part-time jobs and found a company called Plan-o-matic hiring a field photographer for real estate properties in the bay area. I submitted these 3 practice shots of my apartment for consideration. They told me I could have the job if I purchased an off camera flash. I ended up scoring a Nikon SB-700 used on craigslist for $150. I felt like this was a great accomplishment, and then poof! The plan-o-matic representative, Chad Gagnon, mysteriously ceased returning my phone calls and inquiries. What a bummer! I am still really excited at the idea of taking architectural photographs for a living, or even as a serious hobby. Enjoy the results.
