Web Site for La Sirena Cigars

Backstory: La Sirena is the latest release from Miami Cigar & Company, the folks behind standout brands like Nestor Miranda, Don Lino, and a handful of others, if you know anything about Cigars. Smoking cigars is like eating oysters or lobster – you don’t see any bums indulging in these activities, it’s reserved for winners.
The introduction to the La Sirena Cigars brand manager, Arielle Ditkowich, was alley-ooped to me from Max Mogil – currently the Senior PPC analyst and CEO for MogilMEDIA. La Sirena Cigars looked to DoggHouse Productions to crush their splash page, full web site, and full line of product photography.
The main Web Site features the core of the brand’s information and spotlights the brand history, the product line of cigars, a blog for events, a calendar for upcoming events, an authorized retailer location finder, and a contact page.
We used wordpress to develop the main site with the Wallbase theme by Fabthemes as a guideline because I thought that the full screen image backgrounds were really attractive and sharp. We tweaked the theme a lot, dicing codes and replacing images in order to customize the site and use it to the La Sirena Cigars brand’s advantage. We implemented several plugins such as the lightbox image feature, the store locator, the contact form, the calendar, the custom favicon, google fonts, and even the meta tags & meta data.
Aside from the opening photo, DoggHouse Productions shot and edited all the images and graphics displayed on the site. The photography portion will be featured in an upcoming post shortly. Stay tuned!
